Cenozoic Fault Growth Mechanisms in the Outer Apulian Platform

چکیده
This work focuses on a ca. 55 km-long extensional fault zone buried underneath the foredeep deposits of southern Apennines, Italy, with goal deciphering Cenozoic growth mechanisms in Outer Apulian Platform. By considering public 2D seismic reflection profiles, well logs, and isochron maps data, study normal is interpreted as made up four individual segments crosscutting Top Cretaceous, Eocene, Miocene, Pliocene chrono-stratigraphic surfaces. The computed cumulative throw profiles form either bell-shaped or flat-shaped geometries along portions single segments. incremental also show an initial segmentation not corresponding present-day structural configuration. Data are consistent initial, post-Cretaceous coalescing together during Miocene–Pliocene deformation linkage processes localizing at stepover/relay zones. Pleistocene faulting determined evolution coherent system. n-values obtained for time intervals by maximum throw–fault length relations indicate that formed scale-dependent geometries. Variations these values due to higher degree maturity reached entire system Miocene deformation.

Cenozoic reactivation of the Great Glen Fault , Scotland : Additional
13 The Great Glen Fault (GGF) trends NNE-SSW across northern Scotland. According to 14 previous studies, the GGF developed as a left-lateral strike slip fault during the Caledonian 15 Orogeny (Ordovician to Early Devonian). However, it then reactivated right-laterally in the 16 Tertiary. We discuss additional evidence for this later phase. At Eathie and Shandwick, minor 17 folds and faults in f...
متن کاملFault Tolerance in the OSGi Service Platform
The OSGi Service Platform defines a framework for the deployment of extensible and downloadable Java applications. The framework introduces a management unit, called a bundle, that can be installed, updated, uninstalled, started or stopped without restarting the entire framework. Bundles provide opportunities for increasing the dependability of OSGi based applications in a modular way. This rep...
متن کاملOuter membrane vesicles as platform vaccine technology
Outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) are released spontaneously during growth by many Gram-negative bacteria. They present a range of surface antigens in a native conformation and have natural properties like immunogenicity, self-adjuvation and uptake by immune cells which make them attractive for application as vaccines against pathogenic bacteria. In particular with Neisseria meningitidis, they hav...

The Cancer Registry of Puglia (RTP) was instituted in 2008 as a regional population-based cancer registry. It consists of six sections (Foggia, Barletta-Andria-Tran, Bari, Brindisi, Lecce, and Taranto) and covers more than 4 000 000 inhabitants. At present, four of six sections have received accreditation by AIRTUM (53% of regional population). To point out possible regional geographic variabil...
